Job description

We are looking for a Ruby / Elixir Back-end Developer to join us! Ideally someone comfortable with our current stack , but above all someone interested in going even further (including someone curious, demanding, challenging) in order to:

  • 1/ always offer the best possible experience
  • and 2/ scale up our different products as much as possible, whether on Welcome to the Jungle, WelcomeKit or other products we are working on right now!

To find out more about our Tech team, currently made up of around 20 people, you can consult:

  • Videos of different people in the team
  • The Tech page of our WTTJ profile
  • Some articles written by members of the Tech team

Required profile

You are our ideal profile if:

  • You think before you code and you are extremely pragmatic!
  • You like clean code (you know tests, and you're not afraid to ask them)
  • Ruby / Ruby On Rails: you agree
  • Elixir / Phoenix: these are your technologies of the moment! (if you just did some personal projects with it, your profile is also of interest to us :))
  • It motivates you: build (or rather continue to build) an entirely real-time ATS (used by 3000+ companies, thousands of recruiters at a given time) and build the WTTJ of tomorrow!
  • You are interested in performance issues and you are fully aware that Ruby is not the best language for this, which is why you look at other Elixir / Go type technos (since you are curious), you keep also an eye on Rust, Crystal and other languages for the future but you are well aware that it is a little too early for production :))

Big plus if:

  • You have already contributed to open-source projects
  • You have already worked on a “micro-services” architecture
  • You have already set up a GraphQL API
  • You know the AWS universe well
  • You have worked on “data” topics (segmentation and storage of large volumes / recommendation engine / etc.)
  • If you are also interested in front topics (React JS in particular), we are also recruiting on the Full Stack side :)

The diplomas do not matter to us, we are looking for a web enthusiast, a relentless watchdog and gadgets of all kinds, someone who can present us with a project of which he/she is proud.

Also, given that the team is still relatively small, we remain very open to initiatives! (choice of technologies / tools / etc.)

In short, you have understood, we are not looking for a simple developer confined to doing maintenance on our applications, we are looking for someone who wants to actively participate in the adventure!

NB1: we are not closed to telework in full time! (half of the Tech team is already working from the 4 corners of France)

NB2: if your profile does not exactly match the criteria mentioned above, do not hesitate to apply, we remain open!

Conduct of interviews

The CV is not mandatory if your LinkedIn profile is up to date.

  • Step 1: 45min call with Claire, our Talent Acquisition
  • Step 2: Meeting with an Engineering Manager and a Lead Dev
  • Step 3: Technical test to be carried out at home then debrief with developers from our team
  • Step 4: Meeting with the CTO
  • Step 5: Meeting with the CEO
